Roots⢠Universal RAI-J Whispair⢠DSL rotary blowers are available in 5 different models, specifically engineered to provide the longest life and quietest performance in the URAI series. This series features Frames 33J thru 56J and combines the innovative Whispair⢠design with a Dual Splash Lubrication (DSL) system to deliver superior reliability for demanding industrial blowers South Texas applications. These units are engineered with "universal" mounting feet, providing the flexibility to be installed in four different configurations to meet your specific facility layout.
Product Specifications
The Roots⢠Universal RAI-J DSL combines the proven Whispair⢠design with dual splash lubrication to deliver the longest service life and quietest operation in the URAI series. Available in five models across Frames 33J through 56J, each unit supports four mounting configurations thanks to universal mounting feet.
The center-timed design allows operation in either rotational direction. Both the drive end and gear end receive full oil lubrication, while Roots' exclusive "figure-eight" gearbox geometry optimizes oil distribution for maximum bearing and gear longevity. Sight glasses (3/8âł) are provided for accurate oil level confirmation.
The Whispair⢠feature reduces operating noise by approximately 3 to 5 dBA compared to a conventional unit running at equivalent conditions â a meaningful advantage in noise-sensitive industrial environments.

These models are center-timed to support bi-directional rotation, allowing for greater versatility during installation. The rugged steel mounting feet are detachable, making it easy to adapt the unit for vertical or horizontal mounting and facilitating four different drive shaft positions.
